RE: RE: RE: RE: From the air KC8...YOU WIN. One condition though, it has to be a play off game against the LEAFS !! I`m completely out of GDX for now, if management can prove to me that they have our best interests at heart I will look to re-enter. Political risk aside I still like the story here. I originally had 1/4 million shares give or take @ about 8 cent average....I did buy as high as 10 cents at one time. As I tried to catch a falling knife I picked up another 600K or so all the way down to a penny....finally punted it all between 1 and 2 cents. Total position was around 900K with an average price of about 3.5 cents...so yeh, I`ll be the first to admit I took it on the chin but sometimes you just gotta walk away. The depleted treasury and managements approach to their loyal shareholders over at Tearlach made this a necessary decision. However, as I initiated the majority of the cleansing last TLSS I was able to basically trade into a much better company that was also selling on the cheap...namely Glen Eagle Resources. And right at the perfect time to catch a quick 50% pop. Earlier this year I was able to grab some GDX back @ 1/2 penny and flip it into a penny so I made a tad back...but I suppose the bottom line looks like about a 15 g`s haircut with a very disappointing GDX. I do consider myself very fortunate to have made the vast majority of it back with GER...my single most largest HOLD position and a few flippers...namely CIO, SGX, CIN, EKG. So after some initial bruising I was able to get even with Mr. Market when the optimism of a new year kicked in last January. With 8 million on the bid here it looks pretty tough to catch any more of GDX @ 1/2 penny, and not even sure I want to with the way management has kept us all in the dark...it`s just not the way to treat your share holders. This issue is heavily discounted presently because the market knows GDX has to once again return to the market to raise capital....the only way to do this is through a reverse split...likely 1 for 10 to get the share price above the required 5 cent threshold....then re-dilution again. The market knows. Good luck to those that have the fortitude to stay, I continue to watch from the sidelines for my chance at some PAY-BACK. SS
