The answer is RISK. 

At $2 risks were low, the oil was flowing, new pipe was moving ahead aggressively, drilling results were being slowly released without negativity, new drill locations were underway, and if there was any speculative hype it surrounded the positive potential of a merger and special dividend. In addition the dividend looked safe, MMT was being paid for missed production on a promise of future oil, which was surely available as new production flowed and new wells came onstream. Easy to recommend that picture.

Compare that to today with no oil flowing and a great unknown as to when that will change, new pipeline running into typical delays and cost challenges, and dividend threatened for a period of balance sheet strengthening. Hard to recommend even at $1.51.
