meaning of 200w panel etc

meaning of 200w panel etc

I asked Qsolar what a 200 watt panel might power. The answer:

A panel with peak power of 200W means it can produce maximum power of 200W power at maximum solar irradiance, (Bright sunny day). Every hour this panel produces 100Wh or 0.1KWh. A 100w lamp needs of course 100W to operate so a 200W panel can power 2x100W lamps.

The electricity produced by a panel in simple terms is the peak power of the panel x the solar irradiance in KWh.
