MEM accelerates delivery of 4,500 GLP stoves to poor families Cañaris
Canaris, April. 05 (ANDINA). A batch of 650 kitchens liquefied petroleum gas (GLP) released today the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) to the same number of families in the central area of ??Canaris and communities located in the district of the province of Lambayeque Ferreñafe.
Delivery of kitchens is done through the national program Cooking Peru, said the MEM.
Families benefiting from central Cañaris and hamlets Still, Pomaca and Muyaca received kits consisting of a kitchen, a GLP ball 10 kilos, a valve and clamps.
They were also distributed units in the village center and its hamlets Chiñama Huarhuarcucho, Santa Elena, El Naranjo, Naranjo Alto, El Espino, San Vicente, and Cruz Loma Pampa Grande.
Lot of 4,500 gas cookers planned to be delivered over the coming months in Canaris, the program will go to Peru kitchen central and adjacent villages over 1,000 kitchens that will benefit as many homes and an estimated 5,000 people , all of them in extreme poverty.
The award ceremony, held in the Plaza de Armas of Canaris, was chaired by José Hurtado Julca district mayor, who was accompanied by the head of the program in Lambayeque Peru kitchen, Eduardo Archimbaud, plus community leaders.
At the event, the mayor emphasized social support undertaken by the Central Government in the country.
"We thank the President Ollanta Humala to push this social program not only Canaris, but throughout the country and, at the same time, we thank the Ministry of Energy and Mines to realize the Peru Kitchen program, which will benefit all the people of my district, "said Hurtado Julca.
The mayor said further that the MEM, through the Directorate General of Rural Electrification (DGER), confirmed that from August will begin redevelopment of the energy service that will benefit rural hamlets Cañaris 17.
