Atomic plus . . . ??? I'm just speculating here (for fun), but what are the chances that Atomic's campaign is meant to begin with a bang? That is, what if Atomic is to start their effort coinciding with an event worthy of the buzz the PR firm wants to create.
I'm just thinking about how odd it would be for Atomic to start cold-calling news outlets and funds this week or next when we are over a month past our last technical milestone and in an unknown timeframe going forward to the next.
I'm mostly hoping Atomic becomes active after a license deal with BAE. If OPEL can make such a deal, Atomic can simply fan the flames.
The same kind of plan *could* work for a technical milestone also, but to a lesser degree.
I haven't been into speculating on SH with the SP being the way it is, but I actually think the license scenario is highly likely and here's why:
If you think about OPEL's ultimate plan, it's to get several companies building licensed POET products all at the same time. This is something that OPEL doesn't have the manpower to do themselves, hence the need to license.
But . . . OPEL *has* been working on a product with BAE for years and this could finally be ready for prime time. I started to doubt that BAE was going to continue with the IR sensor, and maybe they aren't (no mention of it in the latest corporate presentation) but they have invested a great deal of time and effort helping to develop POET knowing the breadth of the platform and they might license it for just about anything.
Maybe that directed energy weapon Lee (and Burger King) was talking about?
Again, I'm speculating. There are a few degrees of separation here, but this theory explains why we still wait for Atomic and it would resolve the silence around the BAE/OPEL relationship.
Wouldn't it be great?
