Specboy - IF the conditions I listed regarding drill hole location and assay verification are met there is no reason older historic holes cannot be added to a database and used once verification is complete. Is it likely that holes from the 40's to 70's are usable? No. But from the 80's or 90's it is quite possible IF the data was collected and documented well (good logs, assay certificates etc).
If you have an official source that says this is not the case, please post it for all to see.
