RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: While we wait The IR chip that BAE has been working on is expect to reach TLR level 6 in August. That is the point in which companies can license the technology or buy the division and secure military orders. Boeing has been is aware of the work that BAE is doing with POET and wants to begin discussions with Opel when TRL6 is reached. I paraphrased but a quote would be "when you reach TRL level 6 come see us". Obviously BAE have a leg up in that they know the technology and are comfortable with it. It would be no surprise that they wish to talk to Opel ahead of any potential competition. Opel has been told they want to begin discussions 45 to 60 days before this.

I posted this after the Toronto Presentation. It is not much of a stretch to accept that BAE would want to begin negations ahead of anyone else for a technology they have been working on for several years.
