The president of Petrobras, Graça Foster, and the governor of the state, Genro, today signed the contract for building modules for plant production and processing of oil and gas for integration of platform P-74 in North San Jose.  The competition for integration unit was won by the company Shipyards Brazil (EBR) at the beginning of the year for U.S. $ 741 million.

In the morning, Grace Foster presents the Business Plan and Management 2013-2017 for investors, entrepreneurs and industry professionals at the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Fiergs).

Yesterday, during the presentation of the plan at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, the president of Petrobras said that it is almost impossible that the company may not achieve its goal of producing 4.2 million barrels per day in 2020.  "We have all the assets needed to realize the production of oil to which we are referring," he said.

According to the executive, 38 stationary production units have already been contracted.  Another 13 have yet to be hired.  "For this year, 7 units come on stream," he said.  Two units have started operations and a third should enter the field of Lula Nordeste.

She explained that the FPSO Cidade de Paraty, which will operate in the field of Lula Nordeste, came out this weekend's yard Brasfels.  The vessel is under way in the region, where production will start from May 28.

The Abreu e Lima refinery, also known as the Northeast Refinery (Rnest), located in Pernambuco, will start production in November 14, 2014.  The Rnest is beside the Petrochemical Complex of Rio de Janeiro (Comperj), a major Petrobras projects in the refining area in the coming years.  Only two units contained in the Business Plan 2013-2017 Petrobras with ongoing projects in this period.

The projects of Premium I and Premium II, also to be built in the Northeast, are still under evaluation.  But according to Grace Foster, the study of both projects has advanced, without revealing details of ongoing studies.

State has not been able to participate in bidding

The National Petroleum Agency (ANP) said Monday that it has enabled 30 companies to participate in the 11th licensing round to be held in May.  Petrobras has not yet been enabled to participate in the auction of the 289 blocks that will be offered.  On Tuesday, seven companies were authorized at a meeting of the Special Licensing Committee.

The seven qualified companies at the meeting were: GDF Suez Energy Latin America Participacoes Ltda, Ecopetrol SA, HRT O & G Exploration and Production of Petroleum Ltd., Irati Oil and Energy Ltd., New Norte Energia e Consultoria Ltda, Petronas Carigali SDN BHD and EP Energy in Brazil Ltda.

Altogether 71 companies registered to participate in the auction.  ANP plans to complete the analysis of the technical evaluation, economic and legal empowerment to the next until the 15th.  On the 26th is the deadline for the filing of financial guarantees by companies.
