TOG Zone results - Great, & Open at Depth Hi Quaz, you make some interesting points, which spurred me to write. I hope you go back and catch up on Metals Creek’s press releases or the overall game plan, my guess is you will be impressed. You’re right, the news is exceptional, intercepts of that kind are very rare. But I think contention that this intercept is to narrow to mine is a little premature.
After all, MEK is in the early exploration stage at the Thomas Ogden Zone. However, the good thing is that every time they explore this zone, things keep getting better at depth. Drilling so far has been very close to the surface, and the results coming are much higher grade (the best grades I have seen in years) and much shallower than those of the other companies in the Timmins camp. So the story is quite simple: Best grades, consistently good and or improving as they go down the chute, which is entirely open at depth.
Take a look at what Lakeshore is doing along the fault to the west. See the depths and grades they are profitably mining from. Then measure Metal’s Creek’s early results against theirs. Metals Creek’s results are first-rate just like theirs were. Next, take a look at Metals Creek’s big-league JV partner, Goldcorp, to the east along the fault. Same thing here: Metals Creek is hitting fantastic grades in mineralized zones like what we saw in the early exploration stages for the Dome Mine. In between those two projects along the fault were 6 patented claims that languished, unexplored for years. After years of work, Metals Creek’s VP, Wayne Reid put the ground together.
This is where Metals Creek is doing all its work, right now. Finally these great zones are being drilled.
Management is very strong. Sandy Stares was one of the PDAC’s 2007 Prospector of The Year award winners and Darin Wagner, who found West Timmins and sold it to Lakeshore are steering the ship. Add the expertise of Richard Nemis, who was the driving force behind Noront’s Ring of Fire discovery, and to me, this is no-brainer.
Perhaps many people want to trade this one for small gains, but that’s fine with me. The volatility lets me load up when others are tying to squeak out a few pennies. I’ve done my DD and can’t wait to see the next results as they continue to attack the Thomas Ogden Zone. I expect we’ll see a ton of results over the season to come.
Happy to be here – Jarrko
