RE: Goldman analysis
RE: Goldman analysis I talked about the buyout being after the BFS when the last PP funds runs out.......
.
Now, I posted two examples/scenarios that looks similar to VTR. One is Rio Alto (RIO, mine in Peru) and the other is Andina Minerals (ADM, mine is Chile). Both are low grades (even lower than VTR) and their BFS have similar characteristics like VTR's PFS. Let's wait to see what VTR's BFS looks like..... I do not expect to see lots of differences. RIO was in good time back in 2009/2010 to raise funds to develop their project and has been successful in producing gold, 200K oz in 2012, earning $100mil and forecasting to do the same - produce 220K oz in 2013, hence its share price did well even in the last two bearish years........ while ADM was in more dire conditions in 2012.... hence the buyout by Hochschild Mining.
.
The big question is whether VTR will have a robust BFS, AND can secure fundings to develop Kiaka....... If yes, then VTR may follow RIO's path...... If no robust financings available, then ADM's path might be the choice as some majors will take advantage of it (VTR) while you are down and out?!
