If only the crowd understood reality

If only the crowd understood reality

Doesn't really mean anything, but I have always said the SA Mountaineer gang chased away many new investors or a least posters on this board. Back then SA was $ 1.75/share. Come back, come back and I don't mean the posters. Cheers.

Private Board vs Public Board

This is the type of board activity we have been lacking for a long time. Thanks to Vwig, Zorro, and Kevin today for the updates. As Kevin pointed out in the latest piece, most everyone just does what they need to do either individually or in private discussion groups without bothering to post on the board.  Another down side to this practice is also takes up more valuable time for the new I/R person as she has to respond to each individual instead of putting her time into working on new strategies. Now I do not have to call her because the information I too wanted to know has been posted.

Along with Kevin's latest effort to deal with the ongoing board and communication problems, the article has sparked up the same predictable deflection by the culprit in question.  He is not capable of change, so only we can change the outcome ourselves. While many insist that all serious discussion remain on the private board I suggest it will hurt Southern Arc in the long run with regard to new investors. When the drilling news really starts rolling in and the new I/R campaign kicks into gear many new investors will be dropping by to have a look as the public bull board is a first stop to get a "feel" for what others are thinking. Since first impressions count for a lot, it is important that there are no barriers that would signal red flags that would cause them to lose confidence in this investment. Quite frankly, why should WE have to run to another board? It is like trying to have all the home owners live in the garage just because the main house has one annoying tenant. Why should EVERYONE ELSE have to leave the public board because of one guy? After all, he is as harmless as a fly anyway. The public board is our best place to be and our best opportunity to conduct normal public discussion. The Stockhouse IGNORE tool is there for good reason or one can simply choose not engage with him. His numerous links to new or other articles does not really hurt anyone and his ego is irreparable. Just do not respond to ANYTHING negative. Eventually, like a spoiled child, he may learn that good behavior is responded to and bad behavior is not. IT IS NOT OUR PROBLEM and we do not have to take responsibility for him. JUST LET IT GO!

As for posting with or without real names- that has to remain each persons personal choice as some do not feel comfortable using real names when most others do not

Lastly, I suspect there is some reluctance on the part of some shareholders to post simply because of the high standards inadvertently set by The Top 3 or 4”. Maybe some people feel somewhat intimidated or their less informative posts are not even acknowledged. I think some people need to be more supportive to others who are doing their best to contribute in their own way. Personally, while I appreciate facts and discussion like anyone else I also like it when people add something funny to break the monotony. Why not I say?

Good times are coming to Southern Arc. Let's be where we need to be- in the public eye and on the public board.

Just my thoughts, so take them for what they are worth. (Where have I heard that before?)

Jaemak -aka- Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo, Jimba (when in Africa) and James

PS- I have posted my comment on the private board in hope that enough people will respond with a desire to stick with one board or the other and then move on from this issue once and for all. Is there anyone else interested in doing that or are we just going to just stick with the same inefficent system?
