"Eu questionei: 'Isso é experiência no mar?

RIO DE JANEIRO, Apr 15 (Reuters) - The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) is reviewing the involvement of HRT as operator in deepwater exploration areas in the auction planned for May, said on Monday the director General of the municipality, Magda Chambriard.

The company was authorized by the commission in the 11th round of bidding for oil as the operator, ie deepwater.

However, the director-general questioned the company's experience to act as the operator, and the municipality now evaluates whether it has the know-how to act that way.

"HRT is a company that is doing well, very invested, is working nicely. Due to that, if enabled with great score. Yet our announcement says the company needs to have experience at sea," said Magda.

According to her, the company informed the ANP already drilled a well in the sea of ??Namibia, on 25 March.

"I wondered, 'That's experience at sea? Time is very short." Then I questioned my safety commission to see if it was enough, "he added.

HRT has experience in the exploration of oil fields onshore in the Amazon region, and is starting a drilling campaign offshore Namibia.

PETROBRAS ENABLED

The director general said that 61 companies have been authorized to participate in the 11th round of oil in May, in a bid to mark the resumption of auctions in the country, not achieved since 2008.

The number of qualified now started including Petrobras, said Magda.

As of Friday, 44 companies were qualified to compete in the round.

The May auction attracted interest from 71 companies and is second only in number of stakeholders for the ninth round (74 companies), which initially involved the pre-salt blocks that were eventually withdrawn by the government to be procured by sharing model.

The 11th round will bid 289 blocks: 166 located offshore, 94 deepwater, 72 shallow water and 123 on land.
