RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: bad timing

Great post, Elmo. Being up 10-15% after 3 years sounds depressing, but considering that a lot of people who have been patiently averaging in over that time are underwater across the board - even me somewhat at this point, and I've been very cautious in my buying - it's really not that bad. Hang in there, our day will come.

I've felt all along that the super-bullish forecasts for SND, although they'd ultimately prove correct, were going to take a few years longer than many people anticipated to come to fruition. This coming year will likely be pivotal, with the bad streams fading in memory, the good ones ramping up, serious earnings starting to accumulate, and hopefully, commodities in general beginning to come back into favor.

I do think a sizable short term drop in the sp is a strong possibility if (when?) the general market tanks, but I've accounted for that eventuality by holding back a lot of cash to take advantage. I've still not sold a single share of SAND, SND, or SLW, and don't intend to until at least 2016. Until then, I consider any paper losses to be the price you pay to be in the game when the last cards are turned.
