RE: RE: RE: CPI negative, S&P surges.

Just want to address the "I would never hold this ETF for a long period of time" statements by the last 2 posters.

Typically, and 99% of the time I agree with this statement and mandate. In fact, rarely should a person hold for longer than a day, or even a week, let alone a month or a month and a half. However, I would encourage you to look at this chart of HVU in 2011, where it took a 2 month hold to get the max return:

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=HVU.TO#symbol=hvu.to;range=20110512,20120612;compare=;indicator=volume;charttype=area;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined;

I don't want to convince anyone else to follow in my footsteps, I only want to explain why there's method to my madness. The reason I'm holding for a while is because I feel that we are not headed for a pidly 30 point correction on the S&P, we're headed for a 150+ point correction on the S&P. While hese corrections are violent, but they take time to occur and complete their course and they don't complete their price action a day or a week. This is years worth of money that has flowed into this market, it takes time to come out.

So yes, 30 point S&P corrections are plentiful and my gains from yesterday's are already erased, however I'm eying up a more rare event that my reasearch has led me to believe is coming shortly.

So that's why I'm holding HVU for a longer period of time on this position. Can't predict when the S&P waterfall starts, and who knows if the TSX and their tiny 9:30-4 hours will be open for me to buy HVU when the waterfall does start. I want to be locked, loaded and ready for it! :)

Only my opinion, not professional advice.
