PIMCO New York Municipal Income Fund III (the Fund) is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to seek to provide current income exempt from federal and California income tax. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in municipal bonds which pay interest that is exempt from regular federal, New York State and New York City income. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in investments the interest from which is subject to the federal alternative minimum tax. The Fund also invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal bonds that at the time of investment are investment grade quality. Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) serves as the Fund's investment manager.

In accordance with TSX Venture Exchange Policy 2.5, the company has not maintained the requirements for a TSX Venture Exchange Tier 2 company. Therefore, effective at the opening on Thursday, April 18, 2013, the company's listing will transfer to the NEX, the company's tier classification will change from Tier 2 to the NEX, and the filing and service office will change from Calgary to the NEX.

As of April 18, 2013, the company is subject to restrictions on share issuances and certain types of payments as set out in the NEX policies.

The trading symbol for the company will change from PYN to PYN.H. There is no change in the company's name, no change in its Cusip number and no consolidation of capital. The symbol extension differentiates NEX symbols from Tier 1 or Tier 2 symbols within the TSX Venture Exchange market.

Further to the TSX Venture Exchange bulletin dated Nov. 2, 2012, trading in the shares of the company will remain suspended. Members are prohibited from trading in the securities of the company during the period of the suspension or until further notice.
