For the setup they have and ore grade the recoveries are decent, they ran over 82% in Q1 of 2013.  Look at Endako prior to the new mill, they recovered 75% in 2011.  MP's design specs call for an average recovery of 75%.  Yes they might be able to increase recoveries but the cost likely exceeds the benifits economically, that is all part of optimization process.  Remember it was not that long ago they had a hard time keeping recoveries above 50%.
