Excerpt

- The manufacturing process requires both water and energy, and the finished products are transported through very inhospitable areas, right down to the coast. How it will happen is far from resolved, and whatever it is far to the nearest port, from an Ethiopia that is "landlocked". Road and rail network is of course not entirely due to the standard we are used to.

The latter is an understatement. From nearest city, Mekelle, four and a half hour drive by jeep, down steep mountain trails from the highlands to the deepest point of depression where the camp is located. This route will not be suitable for transporting salt to the harbor. Before production starts, there must therefore be a new way of linking the mine to the port in Djibouti, a distance of 600 km. The challenges are in the queue, and they have a slightly different character than what we are used to at home.

Also note the name of a particular gentleman .Anyone know which company he was appointed to as a director last year?????
