NDP SAME OLD SAME OLD

NDP SAME OLD SAME OLD

It never ceases to amaze me how bad the NDP truly are.  Here is a party who sell themselves as the "working man's party" but in a province such as B.C. they all but destroyed forestry and mining when they were in power in the 90's.  Both industries, specifically mining are just now recovering from the ridicuolous policies of the NDP.  How quickly as a province we forget on how bad they were.  I worked at the Sullivan Mine in Kimberley in the 90's and was on the mine rescue team.  Every year every underground mine sent a team to the B.C. provincial mine rescue competition.  The running joke at the time was that if the NDP remained in power the Sullivan Mine would win the competition by default eventually because no new mines were opening at all because of the backward polices of the NDP.  B.C. is a resource province pure and simple.  Every city in the province can't base their labour force around tourism, but the NDP have never understood this.  Somehow they figure they can just eliminate one of the most important industries our province has...mining, and replace those jobs with minimum wage jobs.  Mining development came to an absolute stand still under the NDP and thousands of potential jobs were lost, along with the families that left the province to try to work for more than minimum wage.  Maybe the NDP can live on minimum wage, but this province can't.  The process to get a mine approved is hard enough without politics.  If Raven comes through the process hats off to them as they will have more than satisfied the checks and balances to the environment.  People wonder why everyone is going to Alberta for work.  It is time for this province to wake up to reality, boy do we have a poor memory.
