Thanks hoothoot. I appreciate your comments. After posting my question yesterday, I did a little digging into both companies websites presentations and the biggest differences that I could find were:

TMM - Gold reserves - 1.33M ounces at .572gr/ton and 28M in cash at the end of 3rd quater 2012

AR - Gold reserves - 12.3M ounces at .39gr/ton and 171M in cash at the end of the year 2012.

Both companies appear to have fairly aggresive growth plans for the next couple of years.

I bought some TMM shares yesterday for my RRSP, so long term I am hoping for some good growth.
