RE: Dividend is safe

RE: Dividend is safe

RPL has juat over 203,000,000 shares outstanding. At an annual dividend of $0.23 per share, it works out to about $46.7M per year. This is not chump change for a small cap TSX venture exchange company like RPL, and in my opinion, based on what we know to date (which isn't much given RPL management's secrecy), should be used to pay down debt so good quality Vassets like Viking aren't sold at fire sale prices and can be developed by RPL in the future. The company can always reinstate a dividend, but to keep shipping money out to investors every month when you are desperate to pay down debt is just wrong IMO.
