No news from EFSA

No news from EFSAthe European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) is still evaluating the safety of "rapeseed protein" submitted by the Helm AG, a European partner of BXI. The EFSA webpage still says 'under progress'.I would expect a positive outcome, but I also expect heavy lobbying from the soy industry. We have seen many years of delay of the approval of stevia sweeteners as a novel food assessed by the EFSA due to sever lobbying from the sugar industry. Without a positive judgment on BXI/Helm' submission for Isolexx as a novel food, the 500 Mio people European market would shrink to zero. Norway, Switzerland and several other countries in europe which are not EU members follow more or less automatically with little delay what the guys in Brussels decide. without EU approval, the company is dead, even more now that the plant in Canada will be closed and the focus of BXI entirely is in Europe.I am sure both, the business partner, the financial partner and also creditors will closely watch EFSA assessment. And so do I.Foodhawk>
