And what do you suggest?  That they go full steam ahead, bring 100,000 tons of ore to stockpile on the surface and clog every drift?  They can't increase ore production UNTIL they have a solution to the milling.  So interim, they continue to define the ore body(s).  Production miners are not good sources of information.  They are glued to one face at a time, and have no overview of managerial deductions as to zone width, or direction.  Miners are concerned only with drilling and blasting.  Their knoweldge extends only so far as the drift face allows.  Sure, that provides clues as to grades, if there is visible gold.  This does not give them an understanding as to what is the overall plan of extraction, or grades.
