Although gmo soy, gmo corn and gmo rapeseed/canola have the EU marketing approval after the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) expressed that it had no safety concerns, EU population with the exception of Netherlands, Spain to a limited extend Great Britain, does not want GMO food or feed. So many countries have decided to apply a clause that allows EU member states to prohibit GMO plants.This is different to the EU Novel Food legislation: if the EFSA approved Isolexx, then it will be granted the EU wide marketing authorisation (usually most other European non-EU countries such Switzerland, Norway, Serbia etc follow then the EU judgement with little delay).>
