There are hundreds (!) or more rapeseed oil mills which process non gmo rapeseeds. In many EU countries there is no single GMO food producer. Although gmo soy, gmo corn and gmo rapeseed/canola have the EU marketing approval after the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) expressed that it had no safety concerns, EU population with the exception of Netherlands, Spain to a limited extend Great Britain, does not want GMO food or feed. So many countries have decided to apply a clause that allows EU member states to prohibit GMO plants.This is different to the EU Novel Food legislation: if the EFSA approved Isolexx, then it will be granted the EU wide marketing authorisation (usually most other European non-EU countries such Switzerland, Norway, Serbia etc follow then the EU judgement with little delay).>
