RE: RE: RE: RE: Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Well it's not like it once was but I'm still around and still have  a sizable position albeit far less than in the heyday of Coobrands. As I posted back in the spring of 2011 I saw enough of the madcap frenzy with Swisher to get a strong feeling of deja vu so I bailed a bit. A little early and left some cash on the table but saved capital in the end.

It's really hard to know what is going on here except to paraphrase a line I hear from the Bruins fanbase here "There is many a slip between the cup and the lip" These guys meaning Wayne and Steve certainly fell flat and it is way way more than a few million in accounts receivable gone sour. That is forgivable. It happens. On the other hand their whole business plan looks to have imploded. Us former Coolbrands diaspora know that feeling now don't we? So I figure at this point with a downside of a buck and change that the RRR(risk, reward, ratio) is enough in my favor to hold. Not buy but wait and see. By the way Michael Serruya is involved here in some way since he always seems to be present during the conference calls. Not sure if that is good or bad. I never could figure out what his thoughts were when he went with Swisher back in 2010. That was as far away from ahem "better for you" as you could take Coolbrands. I thought at the time  it would be in the same neighborhood like say Jamba Juice where the Serruya family had already invested.

Oh and it still stings when I peruse the freezer cases here in Boston and see all of Coolbrands old stuff with plenty of shelf space and flying off the shelves to boot. So I guess "premium" is still alive and well along with "super premium" David Stein must think so. Remember him. He bought the Dreamery line and is now marketing it in the tristate area of the Northeast. That stings even more.

Stay well all. Go Sox
