Now I am surprised by your remark.

it appears you thought lump is not flakes, But lump or vein graphite is all flakes in the purist form,

you may also be surprised to know that the centre of each vein or lump is the purist part (99.97% ) , come away from the centre and the purity drops to possible 80% but can possibly be cleaned up to 99%.+.

this old mine , ( the queens mine ). Is a stone throw away from Matale and ASX .BBR ground but that's another story
