Let's get something straight There's nothing wrong with the POET team or the BOD in terms of executing the most important part of the plan, which is to sell the company, maximizing shareholder value. Nobody is selling having learned of some insurmountable problem with POET... POET *IS* as important as we think it is. Personally I feel that people are simply feeling like they have time enough to jump out temporarily to get in on some of the other hot stocks everyone is talking about before returning when there is a pressing need to buy back in.
The only real problem is what I said it was yesterday. COMMUNICATION.
The silent treatment towards loyal longs is one aspect of it.
The fact potential investors reading the CP are going to wind up counting typos, instead of comprehending the importance of POET is an example of it.
The fact that Gail Overton had to make a note for herself, reminding her of an article she wanted to write FIVE MONTHS AGO after being rebuffed by the CEO is another representation of it.
The fact that she contacted fairchij trying to get answers is another manifestation of it (thanks again for that, fairchij).
I could go on all night. This is the problem we face and that's it. Nothing to do with the technology, nothing to do with interest from potential buyers. All this talk on SH about something being wrong with the technology is just garbage.
And there are so many amazing accomplishments made by the BOD this year that I could be writing about now. I'm just getting a hopeless feeling that all of that hard work will be overshadowed by what seems like a real simple problem to solve. Attend to the share price!
Publicize the intention to sell the tech to the highest bidder. Announce milestones and EXPLAIN what everyday devices could be improved by the achievement - or at least let Gail do it! Video conference the AGM - something to inform all loyal shareholders about the plan. Schedule periodic updates via MarketWire - once a month would be fine.
Confidence in this stock is proportional to the amount of credible information each investor is getting (who you know and how resourceful you are). So having said that I'm super stoked about what's to come. But I'm getting sick of seeing others on this board twisting in the wind when it doesn't have to be this way. They are left agonizing over whether this is another pump and dump going to 7 cents - It isn't!. The one piece of information I am missing is WHY is it so hard to COMMUNICATE with the average investor when Atomic is on hand.
