RE: FACTS Not so fast Charlie Brown
In God we trust others please bring facts
"PTQ FAILED to be recognized in the BIGGEST gold boom in history"
It looks that this "fact" may not be so factual.
This is a comparison between the 5 years price change for gold in 1976-1980 and 2007 -2011. Not even close in term of % gold boom.
Year | $/Oz | Growth from 07 |
2007 | $695.39 | |
2008 | $871.00 | 125% |
2009 | $972.35 | 140% |
2010 | $1,224.53 | 176% |
2011 | $1,571.52 | 226% |
| | |
Year | $/Oz | Growth from 76 |
1976 | $124.00 | |
1977 | $147.84 | 119% |
1978 | $193.40 | 156% |
1979 | $306.00 | 247% |
1980 | $615.00 | 496% |
By the way how is the performance of other junior gold miners during that time and how much money do they bring to the bottom line?

I'll make sure that Eric Sprott knows that he is not part of the knowledgeable people in the gold mining community.
I will also mention to Rick Rule that he is a minor league guy in Gold when I see him in Carlsbad. Now that I recall, I had a discussion with him about Petaquilla in Palm Spring at the last mining conference where he was a keynote speaker on Gold.
Not to forget the very large meeting recently held at Cormark that small broker in Toronto.
I'll stop at that one and will not mention that PTQ is one of the largest position of Chen Lin a financial newsletter writer and PTQ was discussed on SeekingAlpha last month and that PTQ is frequently mentioned in European financial newsletters.
I will however grant you the missed targets but not in term of making them but just in term of missed timing. Stuff happens!
Bottom line. 9 profitable quarters!!
