Going private transactions Two oil companies went private today and another initiated a dividend. Second wave petroleum, arsenal energy and the third name escapes me. I am still hopefull a deal gets done but my guess this will drag on for awhile. My guess is one to two months. I think a new approach will be used and the company will get sold. A recap is a bandaid and does not fix the underlying problem. It is dilution and a short term survival mechanism. I think shareholders at this point are past the waiting stage.
