fyi as you may know you have a right to be a 'dissenting' shareholder and get supposedly fair market value.  However I did that once years ago and it was a disaster... they just tied it up in court for 2 years and then settled when the had to for a small premium.  Overall not worth it in that case.....

Once again, Cdn regulations are there to sound good but not work for smaller investors IMO...

To me it sounds likeBrookfield holds the cards and SCS mgmt is probably forced onside already... just need to pretend you are evaluating and acting in best interests of shareholders and then do what you planned all along.  Nice of them to pay 30 cents now instead of the 25 for the debenture conversion....
