Merino: We respect the Law on Prior Consultation
The Minister of Energy and Mines Jorge Merino, said that his ministry complies indicating Prior Consultation Law and denied that there are differences in the cabinet by the application of the Act.

On the case Cañaris the minister explained that Cañariaco copper project is still in the exploration stage so do not need a consultation, only the simple approval of the communities in the area.
"Candente Copper has more than eight years in the area and Candente has the authority of communities to make the exploration stage," he said.
