hackett resource Apparently Xtrata updated their resource at Hackett, according to a Sabina news release. It seems to add up to about 250 million ounces, which is my recollection on what Sabina showed as the combined M&I+Indicated ounces back before the royalty deal. But they say it is a 33% increase from Xtrata's previous published resource. So apparently Xtrata initially published a pretty conservative resource but have recently upped it.
I guess what it means is that the 250 million ounces that I always assumed was in there at Hackett is still the best estimate on how much silver is in there.
n May 3, 2013 in its annual report of mineral resources and ore reserves as at December 31, 2012, Xstrata provided a summary of the mineral resources and mineral reserves on its projects, including a new mineral resource estimate for Hackett River. Xstrata now reports measured and indicated resources of 25 million tonnes grading 4.2% Zn and 130 g/t Ag and an additional inferred resource of 57 million tonnes grading 3% Zn and 100 g/t Ag. The project also contains appreciable copper, lead and gold.
