Buying new businesses is not a panacea. I agree with a previous poster, you bought the stock because it was in a particular business not because they are going to acquire new ones.

When they can the divident as you are suggesting, this stock will drop further. Why buy now if this is imminent? Sell now and buy back under 1$.
