Seeing the trend in the last 4 weeks?  Business is slowing instead of booming.   Goes hand in hand with poor industrial/manufacturing and housing starts numbers reported yesterday.

"Canadian railroads reported 78,348 carloads for the week ending May 11th, down 1.2 percent compared with the same week last year, and 53,393 intermodal units, up 1.8 percent compared with 2012

 

"Canadian railroads reported 79,903 carloads for the week ending May 4th, down 1.4 percent compared with the same week last year and 55,100 intermodal units, up 0.9 percent compared with 2012

"Canadian railroads reported 81,657 carloads for the week ending April 27th, up 0.8 percent compared with the same week last year, and 54,221 intermodal units, up 1.5 percent compared with 2012

"Canadian railroads reported 83,540 carloads for the week ending April 20th, up 1.2 percent compared with the same week last year, and 55,564 intermodal units, up 2 percent compared with 2012
