Junior minors have, in the past, seen some huge rewards by investing in tungsten, and real estate magnate Warren Buffett has gotten into the mix. In 2012, International Metalworking Companies – a holding company owned by Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK-A) – signed a deal to buy a 25 percent stake in Woulfe Mining for $80 million. Woulfe Mining is currently working in South Korea on the Sandong Tungsten/Molybdenum Project, where they are building a state-of-the-art processing facility with commissioning scheduled for 2014.
