Robnhood:  It depends heavily on what you consider as having missed.   If it means missing a a 50K barrel an hour gusher you are right.   But if it means confirming what they originally set out to do with this well and within the parameters of the stated objective of confirming source rocks and whether there is an oil bearing formation off of Namibia, then you are dead wrong. It seems to me that the ones inventing a conspiracy theory are those that are trying to change what the original stated objective was.  I reiterate, this news will eventually be viewed as great because MM's hypotheses has been proven and there is simply no arguing with that.  You can bet that many companies that have significant land positions in the area are not only breathing a huge sigh of relief this morning but celebrating the proof of the hypothesis, notwithstanding what the the market is reflecting at this time.  We have seen this thousands of times before, in two weeks the SP will most likely swing wildly the other way. There is a lot of posturing and fear mongering going on here. The lemmings are running wildly into the sea and you are simply another one of those that promulgates such emotional, illogical,  hysteria.  My contrarian view is, that now, perhaps of all times, is the best time to be backing up the truck.
