RE: IDC's new leader "sure didn't make much of a splash upon his arrival."
I was doing a little research and I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling from what I found.
The #1 comments that I read about Irdeto is that it is a poorly managed company. They have bobbled acquisitions, made generally bad decisions and management was bloated and indecisive.
They had pushed themselves to the point of being unprofitable, so in the middle of last March they announced a 15% head count cut. Three to four weeks later on April 4 IDC announces that Doug is accepting the CEO position?
Is this just a coincidence? I hope it is because if not then that may be why the market is not pumped by the "new direction" at IDC.
