RE: Santander starts in June Trevali's Santander Mine will start production next month
The Vancouver-based company Trevali Mining (TSX, Lima: TV, OTCQX: TREVF) is scheduled within a month to the start of production at its mine zinc, lead and silver Santander in Lima Peruvian region, said Vice President exploration, Daniel Marinov.
The project was to begin production in March, but was delayed a couple of months due to heavier rainfall than usual during the rainy season this year.
"In the next month we will begin to operate.'re A little behind of schedule due to a delay in construction on the surface and weather conditions ... [but] we have been operating well through the ground," he said in an interview Marinov Pro Explo conference this year held in Lima.
Also, the construction boom in Lima has affected the availability of contract workers, which adds to the delays, Marinov said.
Trevali has approximately 130,000 of mineralized material stockpiles, which will provide about three months of milling material during the production scaling for full nominal processing capacity of the plant of 2,000 t / d.
The dry commissioning the mine was announced in April.
