I don't get you--

Finding dribs and drabs of oil 5000 meters below sea level or in  tight rock in the middle of the rain forest a million miles from anywhere is not worth anything in todays market.

You talk like that part of the story is entirely irrelevant.

 Perhaps you are endlessly wealthy and buy stock to prove you were on the right track to your great great grandchildren.
