RE: Dell deal worth 40 million I think "the market seemingly estimates this deal has increased Wi-Lan's value by $40 million" just means the stock's market cap rose by $40 million today as the price per share went up 39 cents (39 cents times 121 million shares is about $45 million). This does not mean the value of the deal signed with Dell was $40 million. IMO most of the increase in value was because the odds of Wi-Lan (or at least the perception of them) settling the 2013 cases before trial has increased because this was the first company to fold.
