There was a time may be like over a year ago when a friend told me to invest in yellow pages bond I believe- I did not - guess what happened - it cracked like never before - lost so much value. Even the best of companies like BCE that sit close to 52 week high and yes they can go higher but they can also suddenly crash - if it is $40 and crashes to $30 or $25 -  on $100,000 invested that would mean a huge loss of capital - money is in RRSP-anyways so I would get the dividend but how long would it take before I can get back to even my principal ? I know many say why worry about the rise and decline of a solid stock - just take the good dividend - any thoughts ?
