RE: Why would you want to talk to the company? I would tend to agree with much of that. I don't think, however, that we have not seen much selling (or buying) since Canaccord dumped, which was some time ago. Recent price action has been just a lack of interest but that is not unique to many companies on the Venture right now. Promotion might be nice, but with these volumes, sp is easily moved around with closing bids to paint the tape or other practices. We need some volume to give the sp some direction and in absence of visible progress, the default seems to be slowly downward. It can all change in a hurry. As someone pointed out, management and Guistra have a lot of skin in the game, so I am sure they are motivated to do their best.
For my part, I bought some yesterday but my position is so large it matters little now. I'm in wait mode, but I have confidence. The majors are putting projects on hold because of water, power, port and other infrastructure considerations and costs. La Verde is excellent in terms of all of these development needs, so it will be attractive as a mine with good costs to build and operate. The As is not a big deal, just need to roast the ore to bring it to sino- smelter standards, a few pennies on the per pound operating cost and modest capex.
You never see the deals coming until the news or the anticipatory rise on rumour. What I don't see here is any misrepresentation or other evidence that management is not acting in our best, or at least mutually aligned interest. I know it is hard to wait, but I think this will be worth it.
