Rango Energy announces start of Drilling Rango announced that on May 28th drilling was initiated on the first well at the Kettleman Middle Dome (KMD) project. The initial drill target of the first well will be the oil rich Mc Adams sandstone reservoir located at a depth of 12000 feet. Mc Adams sandstone has been a prolific producer in the Kettleman North Dome field producing over 400 million barrels at an average of 2 million barrels per well. Hangtown recently executed a drilling contract with Nabors Industries LTD for a 1200 H.P. triple drilling rig capable of drilling to a depth of 15,000 feet. It is capable of drilling into the Mc Adams formation. The drilling budget is estimated at a conservative 50 days. However Hangtown feels that they will be able to complete sooner if there are no mechanical issues during drilling. Hangtown has plenty of experience drilling into high pressure reservoirs. Drilling thousands of wells over 70 years of combined experience. They posses the expertise to drill conventional and deep formation wells safely and efficiently.
