318/319

318/319

I will not say that the Cseries will capture all the market but when you look at the 318/319 Airbus cannot compete

318 orders to date 79 aircraft no backlog

319 order to date 1522 since it went to market in 1996. backlog 154

Since these are the are the models that compete with the Cseries they are pretty much at the same level.

I have not compared Boeing numbers so I will not comment on that. So basically there have only been 154 new orders. As for who is still out there. AC, TAP, Lufthansa, BA, Delta, Iberia KLM there are more. Only point I am making is that there is plenty of space for the three manufactures.  Time will tell as the early versions of the 319 are replaced with newer models, replaced by a competitor or just taken of the market when their life span is up.

So we can discuss all the pros of one aircraft over another but until delivery and profit margins are in all we are doing is going around in circles with the same arguments.
