go lower and that it might take some time for it to turn up. Long term investors have
not been creamed although they are likely sitting on a small loss so far.
Short term investors buy when the price is high and rising, hoping for a quick
small gain. If the stock turns against them and they are not nimble enough to sell
and take a small loss then they are the ones who have got creamed.
Management does not control the price of its shares and introducing a dividend
would not necessarily raise the share price. SGY's share price did not go up because
of the dividend . It went up because they showed a turn around was coming and the
differential for heavy oil has been quite substantially reduced. Other companies have
introduced a dividend and it has had no effect on the share price.
Management at LEG is concentrating on raising its production and reserves on
a per share basis and this has always been their stated objective. If you do not like this
strategy you should not have bought in.
