RE: RE: Glencore Xstrata may buy Canada's Rio Tint

RE: RE: Glencore Xstrata may buy Canada's Rio Tint

Glencore, not long ago, said they are no longer keen on funding mega projects due to mega overruns & other convoluted risks. Therefore, Glencore Xstrata buying Rio Tinto's 59% of Iron Ore Co of Canada is likely as it would strengthen Glencore Xstrata's infuence in all of N America. Re the ROF, Glencore Xstrata will want Chromite, etc Marketing Agencies and to get this, they may help finance the ROF RR & some related Projects. It would be a strange twist if Rio Tinto with or without Vale end up owning the ROF & Glencore Xstrata own all the Cr, etc Marketing Agencies for sales to China, etc. What's then left of CLF may also end up with Glencore Xstrata being their Sales Agent.                                                                                                                              Hopefully, PM Harper & Frank Smeenk can quickly come up with a much better ROF future.
