@woodwise - If you don't need glasses and you're not looking at lumber through a bottle, then I can only assume your superiors haven't told you that it was common to have #1 and #2 in a bundle of 2&Btr SPF.  A bundle of SPF sourced from a mill with good feedstock often contained 50% #1 lumber.  However, as the business model for lumber retailers began changing as line yards closed, mills began creating more in-house appearance grades for box store customers and much of it has come from the #1 stock in a bundle of 2&Btr SPF.  So there you go newbie.
