"Protonman, it is my belief but RUSAL as many other are cutting and slowing smelter operations. True that ORT's alumina will be low cost production... but to get it started up...

imo it will be put on the sideline and delayed for a year or two. Where there is more demand and hurry is to clear the red pond mess, that's make more sense for a smelter to reeuse his tailing and produce alumina and other valuable from it than import alumina even from new sources... plus i'm sure treating tailing and pond cost less and report more than mining clay... just my opinion... but hey don't we have that Veolia guy onboard, where is Alco, Rusal, alouette... we are a long way from SGA operation... again IMO.

MC, we are in agreement here. Companies managing  priorities in the face of dynamic market conditions, is the responsible thing to do.
