RE: Russell Index-Rebalancing

RE: Russell Index-Rebalancing

TJ this interesting:  "On June 28, right after the market close, Market Makers will make book entries to transfer shares to appropriate Institutions, at the closing prices on that day."                                                                                                                                                                           I am trying to grasp how all this works:  Are the market makers buying shares between now and June 28 so they have the shares to transfer to the associated index funds or do they buy all of the shares on the 28th?  I would assume they've already starting loading up yesterday?  Or do Russell index funds even need to have LLEN in their portfolio the end of June 28 as opposed to buying it within a reasonable time later?
