Candy Store...

Candy Store...

I must say I have had the same feelings from time to time, Curb.  The frustration of being so close and not hearing what we are all waiting to hear is excruciating.  But then I try and be rational about it and look where we are and what  has transpired...a rancorous election and the ouster of old "Bag of Pooh Bagbo". Marc- Antoine successfully avoided problems and kept his head down...and made sure we came down on  the right side of that fracas.  He has put together a powerful team of experts like Ron Netolizky, Jens Hansen and on and on  plus his own specialiality in dealing with laterites. SME scored a coup in negotiating the huge land package with the gov't of Cote d' Voire and then with Guinea for the contiguous property where it appears to be very similar geologically. I think they are moving ahead purposely and a good indication of that is the decision to buy their own drills so they have direct control. They are turning the site into a pin cushion with the drilling that has and is going on.  It must be like a candy store for a geologist; so many juicy sitesto choose from. There is strong interest (and they have shown it by investing) by MinMetals and the International Investment Banks and others that are on a "wait and see" category. There would appear to be no problem in raising money for the project.  I think  SME is most likely moving ahead as quietly as possible, preparing for what will be the African equivalent of Sudbury and they want to get as much tonnage proven so as so to design  the resulting mine to maximize efficiency.  Of course there are plenty of  "maybe"s and "depends on" in there but I am confident we will all be well rewarded.  I believe the positives far out weigh the negatives and we will be in for a wild ride soon. What is "soon"?...soon is shorter than a long time but longer than a short time...
