How about Pretium ( killer grade, huge oz's), Eleanore, Pogo Deposit in Alaska ( getting much bigger still), How about all the stuff in Red lake.  How about Gold rush in NV, how about Long Cantyon in NV, how about Chukar in NV, How about Leeville, how about...  Tons of much better grade / politically stable are deposits.  I know, you said CA.  Please do a litle review of what has been happening in Red lake and surronding areas.
